The Mantras which eulogise the glory of Sri Hari are known as Brhati-Shastra Mantras.

The meters which may have more syllables are known as Ati-chhandas. Thousand Mantras in the Brhati meter are not available now in the Rgveda. However, one thousand Mantras will be edited according to the guidance given in the Aaranyakas. The deity of the Brhati meter is Mukhyaprana. Worship done with these Mantras is believed to shower all prosperity on the devotees. The glory explicated in the thousand Brhati Mantras is contained in each of the thousand sacred names of Sri Vishnu (Vishnu-Sahasra-Naama).
The problems regarding the current readings of the Brhati Sahasra Mantras have been discussed by Vidwan P.S. Sheshagiri Acharya in the present work.
